verlag moderne industrie GmbH is a Süddeutscher Verlag company. As a service provider, we attach the highest priority to protecting your privacy as a user of verlag moderne industrie services, particularly with regard to your personal data.

Use of our website does not require the disclosure of personal data. However in certain cases in order to provide the services requested, we may need your name and address as well as other details. Where this is the case, we will draw this to your attention. Furthermore, we store and process only such data as are voluntarily or automatically made available to us by you in the course of processing your instructions.

When you visit our website, for the purpose of anonymous statistical analyses or to serve advertisements on our websites, we employ third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google Adsense. Google Inc. uses DoubleClick DART cookies and may possibly use information relating to your visit to this and other websites in order to serve advertisements for products and services that may interest you (interest-based ads). 2. Transmission of data to third parties:

Verlag moderne industrie GmbH will not as a rule sell or lease your personal data to third parties. Your personal data may be transmitted to third parties by Verlag moderne industrie GmbH exclusively where:

•  transmission is necessary to provide the offers or services of which you wish to take advantage;

•  the data are required by a subcontractor or agent appointed to provide the offers or services. Unless you are expressly advised otherwise, such agents are authorized to use the data only insofar as is necessary to fulfill the offer or service;

•  you have expressly consented to such transmission over and beyond the scope of order processing;

•  if so required by an enforceable official or court order, or

•  insofar as is necessary to lawfully prevent misuse of our offers or services, in particular in such manner as may constitute a breach of our General Terms and Conditions or particular terms of use.

Newsletter

You can order and subscribe to the Newsletter anonymously. However to enable us to communicate with you personally, please let us have your forename and surname. For statistical purposes and to prepare demand-based offers on the verlag moderne industrie GmbH website, we may request further information.

Competitions

Your name and address will be used to send or reserve your prize. We will contact you only by telephone to tell you about other competition-related offers from verlag moderne industrie GmbH and its partners if you have given your express consent. You may take part in competitions regardless of whether you have given such consent.

E-Paper

The following master data are collected for verlag moderne industrie GmbH e-Paper subscribers: ID, password, name, address, e-mail address, selected publication, subscription start date, duration of limited membership as applicable, frequency and method and payment, bank account details. These data are required to process your subscription order.

In addition we will automatically receive information about you when you contact us. Some of this information is stored for a fixed period of time to enable us to improve the quality of our service and provide you with a customized information portal. Typical examples of the information you automatically provide us with include: Information regarding your computer and connections (such as browser type and version, operating system version), log-ins, confirmation that e-mails have been received and read, your order history, information which you have entered in forms, or the sequence of verlag moderne industrie GmbH web pages visited by you.

General Terms and Conditions for Subscribers

General Terms and Conditions

of verlag moderne industrie GmbH, Justus-von Liebig-Straße 1, 86899 Landsberg,

represented by the Managing Director Fabian Müller (hereinafter called the Publisher),  for subscriptions

1. Delivery will commence on the date specified in the contract, provided that the order is received in good time (10 days in advance) by the Publisher. If no date is specified in the order, delivery will commence as soon as possible.

2. The subscription agreement takes effect upon confirmation or delivery, at which time delivery, acceptance and payment become legally binding on both parties.

3. Subscription fees are generally payable in advance. Should there be an increase in the subscription price during the term of the agreement, the increased subscription price will be payable from the date of the next invoice. Subscription prices paid in advance are guaranteed for the period covered by the advance payment and cannot be increased. Subscription price increases will be announced in the publications subscribed for prior to taking effect. It is not possible to issue individual notifications.

4. Reduced prices for students are available only on presentation of a valid certificate of enrollment.

5. Subscriptions may be cancelled at 4 weeks notice effective at the end of the month. Cancellation must be notified to the Publisher in writing. It is not possible to cancel prior to the expiry of an agreed commitment period.

6. Subscriptions will continue after the expiry of an agreed minimum period unless cancelled in good time. In the case of subscriptions that are expressly limited in time,  unless otherwise agreed upon entry into contract, the agreement will end on the agreed end date.

7. Alterations to subscriptions, method of payment, bank details, delivery, etc. are only guaranteed to be implemented in due time provided that notification is received by the Publisher a minimum of 10 days in advance. In the event of a change of address, the Publisher must be notified of the new address.

8. Delivery defects or shortages must be notified immediately. In the event of non-delivery, delayed delivery or material damage in the course of delivery, the Publisher will be liable only for willful or gross negligence.

9. Data stored for subscription management purposes will be treated in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

10. In commercial transactions with business persons, legal entities or special funds constituted under public law, the place of jurisdiction for complaints shall be the head office location of the Publisher. Insofar as claims by the Publisher are not otherwise enforced in collection proceedings, the place of jurisdiction for non-business persons will be dependent on their place of residence.

11. Right of cancellation

You may cancel your agreement within four weeks of receiving the goods without specifying grounds. To comply with the deadline, it is sufficient for notice of cancellation to be sent in good time in written form.
